I felt like I had no where to go and was starting to hear my mother's "I told you so..." as a constant echo in my ear. My dreams for my career had dashed when this wild rebel got the unexpected surprise of her bundle of joy. So here I was the tiger tamer, knee deep in sippy cups and beer bottles....and fed up!
I needed a change, a jump start, a reminder of how much I love life. So I packed up my bags and my daughter and I told her father I was moving back home to Virginia.
Broke, with a busted car, a two year old and everything I owned parked out front on a trailer, I borrowed enough money from a friend to rent a camp site in a state park for a few days. No job, no hope, and a much lighter trailer 2 months later, I found work as a service tech working for a pooper scooping company. Yes, I was cleaning up dog poo. But I was thankful for the work.

Since this camping trip I have obtained a job and our own place to stay. But everytime I hear someone complain about not having enough, I smile and think, "When all I had was a tent..."I learned how very much I had indeed.
