I was accepted into college after high school. I made it into some noteworthy colleges, but decided to stay close to home. I had the world at my feet but made many decisions that delayed the blessing of receiving a college degree. Sometimes, I would become overwhelmed in my journey and feel like I would never finish. Money was always tight and it just seemed like everything was going against me. I also berated myself because I took everything for granted when it was given to me and had to really fight hard for my degree.
I am proud to say that after 8 years, I will finish school next summer. The experience has been character building to say the least. I just want everyone that feels defeated in this area to continue to strive for the best.
Take life one step at a time no matter how dismal it appears and you will eventually reap the fruit of your labor.
